How so Janet?? Is our approach better or worse? Please let me know. I'd be interested. If you go to the forum section of this site, you will read that I am about to do a trial run at approaching a company to get them to initiate a Domestic Violence Program. What I will learn from that "trial by fire" will help me to fine tune the real thing and approach a number of companies that are over due for this program. Any insight you may have and would like to share, would be appreciated.

Domestic violence provention programme

My own experience of an abuser meant that if one disagreed in anyway, he would threaten, break objects, shout, imprison, humiliate, and use violence. Violence was use to subdue, regain control and bring back his domestic bliss. Fear was used to impose those controls and as long as one didn't express an opinion, cooked, cleaned and looked after him, all was well. Displaying any view or making a break for freedom, however small was d… Continue

New to Saving Cinderella

I am an author and artist, like many women here, my life has been tainted by violence in the home. If I had a group of like minded individuals, maybe my path would have seemed clearer many years ago. It felt like I had to fight the legal system and the authorities, who viewed this type of thing as a 'DOMESTIC.' I was regularly asked, what I had done to provoke my husband in such a way. I am now in my 50's, and it has taken years to get over what happened and also bring my daughter through the ex… Continue
